Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Candler we are striving to cultivate a collaborative community that values diversity of culture, theology, ability, experience, and perspective, where all persons are equitably included. Our active engagement and sustained commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will help us continue to thrive.

The Reverend Allison Henderson-Brooks

Assistant Dean of Students

I am so excited to continue leading Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives in conjunction with my new appointment as Assistant Dean of Students. I am thrilled to partner with my incredible colleagues in the Office of Student Life and within the broader Candler Community to ensure that each of you can thrive, learn, and contribute to the rich community of diversity at Candler with assurance that the authenticity of your whole person is valued, honored, and respected. In addition, in this role I will collaborate, assess, and provide recommendations to senior leadership on your behalf to ensure that we are strategically and structurally aligned for experiences that directly impact your ability to thrive on your journey towards a world- class theological education.

With the same vigor and relentless pursuit of excellence in which I have served in the past, I plan to serve in this role with all of you in mind. In the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting each of you to learn your stories, your educational aspirations, and your concerns as we partner together to forge new pathways forward with diversity, equity, and inclusion at the center of all that we will strive to accomplish.

With profound gratitude & tenacious expectations,

Dean Henderson-Brooks
